  My family has been attending Valley for 15 years. Don't let the size of the church deter you. Everyone is kind and welcoming. There are many services to choose from and Sunday school classes for every phase of life. Pastor Roger and Pastor Phil are excellent and make the services interesting and engaging. The rest of the pastoral staff are great as well. We have tried other churches in Bakersfield and always come back to Valley. You can't find a better place.

  Personally, I have never visited Valley Baptist. However, I have have been listening to their sermon podcasts for many years. Roger Spradlin, Phil Neighbors and Larry Wood are among the best preachers I have ever heard. They unabashedly preach God's Word as it should be preached, and I have been extremely blessed as a result of their faithfulness and devotion to Christ.
