  Worst experience EVER! Rob and Betty did NOTHING to console our family after our loss. They were cold, calloused, and made it VERY clear that it's all about the money for them. Betty called my sister and myself 3-4 times daily, harassing us about money. My mother had a death benefit tocover her costs, but, as Betty said, "I ain't waiting for that!" Wait...what?!?! People work their entire lives to pay into this, only to be told that the mortuary won't wait for the payment? Completely wrong and unprofessional. They even went as far as to tell us how disgusting our mom's body was and how she was "double bagged." Talk about wrong! Then, Betty called the coroner's office and said that we had abandoned our mom...a complete and utter LIE! Even the coroner called her a liar and was appalled by their behavior. So, after paying part of the cost to Rob and Betty, we are now having to start all over, with another mortuary. In short, we now get to pay twice for our mom to be taken care of...all because "there isn't enough money in it" for them (according to Rob). I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy!

  Kern river family mortuary handled my sisters service. We where very disappointed in the bad makeup and hair. It looked like a 5 year old did it. She looked like they spent 2 minutes on her. Also for $2800.00 we thought we where getting more then a room. We thought the funeral director would at least get up and say something. But no we had to run the show. He stayed in his office. The family was under enough stress. We didnt need to have to run the funeral to. So if you are in need of a mortuary for your loved ones, go some place else. RIP my beautiful sister.

  I would recomend this place to everyone. Bob was probably the most compasionate man that i have met in a long time. He went above and beyond what i ever expected. And i cant even explain how difficult this has been .. They have taken every measure to handle this so i dont have to..

  My fathers body is being released tothe wrong person on monday 5-1-16. This mortuary run by Rob and his wife cant even seem to call people back when dealing with greaving family. I have called all saturday and sunday goe a 24-7 business and got NO call back. This place is unperfetional and breaking health and safty code reguarding next of kin in California. PLEASE DONT LET THIS GO UNNOTICED! For all our family sake and future families.
